Hello! Welcome to my homepage! I hope that you find it informative!
I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2000 with a BS in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology. I have a Masters degree in Biology in which I did a study comparing the post cranial osteological differences between the ocelot and bobcat! It was many years of very hard and tedious work but absolutely worth every step! It has also helped me take the next step in teaching at a higher level! I was (prior to COVID-19) Adjunct Faculty for Wayland Baptist University at the Wichita Falls campus where I taught various Biology related courses. I resigned this summer in response to the amount overstretching that it would cause with all of the changes as a result of COVID-19. My hope is to one day be able to go back to teaching at WBU as an Adjunct part time!
I am married and have have 4 children: Houston (16), Christie Jo (CJ- 14), Arden (14) and Addi (6 years). My husband is also a teacher (and coach), at WFHS. I enjoy time with my children when I am not teaching! My hobbies include anything outdoors, but especially hunting, fishing and photography.
Grading procedures, classroom rules/expectations, and materials needed for each course can be found on each respective syllabus. Please feel free to email or call with any questions you might have! Email is definitely the fastest way to make contact with me as it is very difficult to take phone calls during the day. If you need to contact me by phone, please do so during my conference period or leave a message and I will call you back the following day.
