My parents moved to Iowa Park shortly before I was born, so I am a product
of the Iowa Park school system.  Since I received my education in Iowa
Park schools, it is very exciting for me to teach in Iowa Park.  I graduated
from Iowa Park High School in 1982 and went on to Hardin Simmons
University.  I finished my undergraduate degree at Midwestern State
University in 1985, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with
a minor in Biology. Eventually, I completed coursework to receive a
Master's degree in Educational Administraion. My first year to teach was
McNeil Junior High school in Wichita Falls, where I taught science.
However, I longed to be teaching back home, and I gratefully signed
a contract to teach in Iowa Park in August 1986.
Over the years, I have taught nearly every subject and grade
at Bradford, including a stint as the librarian for Bradford and
Kidwell.  I stayed at home with my small children starting in the Fall
of 1994 and returned to Bradford in the Fall of 1997.  Although it makes
me feel really old, it is fun to see the children of former students in the
    classroom.
I have two children.  My daughter graduated from Iowa Park High
School and has a Master's in Business Administration
degree from Hardin-Simmons University. She recently graduated from
Southwestern Theological Seminary with a Master's of Divinity degree. She is a children's minister in Dallas.  She and her husband recently became parents, and I now have a sweet grandson.   My son also graduated
from IPHS and Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.  I am excited that he has just started teaching math at Iowa Park High School. My family is
very active at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park.  We especially enjoy
the church activities that relate to music.
I consider it a joy and a priviledge to work with children, and I hope
the work I do has a positive influence in their lives.
