    conferences: 2nd & 6th Periods
Parents, if you would like to meet, please call and make an appointment.
Tutorials: I am available before school Monday through Thursday, and after school on Monday, or Thursday for tutorials. Students must sign up and let me know what they need to work on so we can both be prepared.

My goal within the Family and Consumer Science department is to prepare students to think creatively and critically in making decisions to improve the quality of their lives. In the Family and Consumer Sciences department, I teach Child Development, Dollars and Sense, and Nutrition and Wellness. We cover topics such as: kitchen & food safety, nutritional needs, life skills, and the development of a child from conception through preschool age. The child development course also requires the student to care for one of our electronic babies.

I also oversee the PALS program. This program consists of IPHS seniors who are selected through an application process to mentor younger students within IPCISD. These PALS will be assigned to an elementary classroom for one period of the day for the entire school year. The program is an opportunity for younger students to interact with older, positive role models within their community.

During my time away from school, I am active in mission work at my church. I greatly enjoy the outdoors; hunting, hiking, fishing and camping. I also teach the Texas Hunter's Safety Course, instruct basic archery, and I am an official scorer for the Texas Big Game Awards.
