I began working for the Iowa Park CISD in the fall of 1995 as a paraprofessional at Bradford Elementary School. While working there I attended Midwestern State University and received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in the fall of 2002. I started teaching 8th grade at WF George Middle School in November, 2002. The next year I taught 7th and 8th grade and currently teach 8th grade.
In July, 2012 I received my Master of Arts in Teaching Curriculum and Instruction from University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS. Because I know that I am preparing students for jobs that have not even been created yet, I work very hard to continue educating myself about the latest technology, learning styles, and best educational practices.
My husband and I are both 1974 graduates of Iowa Park High School. Our three children graduated from IPHS in 1993, 1996, and 2002. We have five grandchildren and one attends Iowa Park High School, one attends Bradford Elementary, one attends school in Wichita Falls, one attends school in Kentucky, and one will start next year at Kidwell Elementary. Our family does bleed green!
I realize that you are giving me the gift of your child for the next 9 1/2 months. You can be assured that your child's education, safety, and well-being will always be at the top of my agenda. Please do not hesitate to contact me! Working together produces much greater results than working alone.
