Here is a little bit about me, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology/History from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have a Master's Degree in Art History from the University of North Texas. I was born in Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies (Caribbean). I grew up in Scotland, Norway, Hong Kong, Singapore and Libya. I have traveled, however, to many more places including Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Peru, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, England, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, Luxembourg, and Malta. I consider Rockwall, Texas my hometown because I spent 6th grade on there.
I live on a ranch in Henrietta with my husband Travis who is a Child Nutrition Specialist for Region 9, and a Cattle Rancher. We live with my two dogs Rory and Cal. My hobbies include travel, shopping, Zumba, salsa dancing, and spending time with friends. I am a proud member and officer of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a wonderful organization whose goals are historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
I have taught World History and World Geography and now Texas and U.S. History. This is my ninth year at W. F. George Middle School and I am excited to continue to teach 7th and 8th grade. I am looking forward to a great year, and getting to know each of you.
My friend Holly (right) and I at Chanel in Paris for our 40th birthday!
